VARIETIES OF IBERIAN PIGS
There is a classification system, accepted by the scientific community, to identify the different varieties of what is known as the "Tronco Ibérico" (Iberian trunk):

THE BLACK VARIETIES |
| Negro Lampińo |
Pigs with little or no hair, fine-textured thin skin with varying colour tones ranging from a deep black to a light slate.

| Negro Entrepelado |
A deeper, almost matt black colour with more body hair, especially on the back.
|

THE COLOURED VARIETIES |
| Retinto |
Different colour tones ranging from a light cinnamon to a darker shade.
|
| Rubio andaluz |
Light in colour and sometimes with a golden and shiny sheen.
|
| Manchado de Jabugo |
Light-coloured skin with black, often irregular, markings.
|
| Tobiscal |
This species is prone to tonal variety and can range from a dark blonde to a burnt tone, with a light or dark skin.
