TRADITION
TraditionIberian ham can be considered an essential element within Spanish culture and history. Jamón originated many centuries ago when the meat was cured in order to preserve it for long periods. This food has been enriched thanks to the knowledge and expertise of artisans and has provided an essential food supply for entire families.

Historically, it gained popularity among nobles, courtiers and kings, and currently continues to satisfy even the most demanding of palates.

López Ortega Iberian Ham is produced in a completely natural way, according to traditional salting, sweating and drying processes, and is free from artificial flavourings and colourings. Our traditional and natural method of opening and closing the windows in the drying rooms during the sweating period gives López Ortega Jamón an unbeatable concentration of aromas and perfumes.
